Festivals Why not time your visit to coincide with one of Marsden’s popular events? Marsden Jazz Festival is a lively annual festival that brings traditional and modern jazz to the Valley in October each year. Marsden Cuckoo Day is also a great event which celebrates the arrival of Spring.
Walk or bike ride from Marsden to Slaithwaite on the canal path and enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of cake in the barge café

Golf The local golf course is Marsden Golf Course, which is 10 minutes walk from the Crow Hill and set on the edge of the Moors, with the most amazing views at every hole! See the website for information on booking as a visitor.
Tennis Marsden Tennis Club has 3 courts and is 10 minutes walk away. Non-members are welcome to play for a nominal fee per hour. Bring your own racquets!
Horse riding lessons and hacks can be booked at Westwyns Riding Stables, just 2 minutes from Crow Hill. Enjoy a ride along the bridleways and stop off for a picnic!
Spa Book yourself in for a pamper session at the Titanic Spa, just 5 minutes drive down the road and the UK's first Eco-spa.
Experience the Standedge Tunnel End Boat Trip into the UK's longest canal tunnel, visit the museum explaining the history of the canal, and enjoy homemade food at the Watersedge café, 15min walk away from Crow Hill. More information here.
Uppermill: Take a drive through the tops of the moors and pop over into the next county! Uppermill is a quaint nearby village with a wealth of shops, cafes and restaurants.
